17/02/2018

The High Commission of the Republic of Ghana participated in the annual National Multicultural Festival which was held in Canberra from 16 to 18 February, 2024. The event afforded the Mission the opportunity to showcase assorted made -in-Ghana products ranging from artifacts, clothing and textiles, chocolate and Ghana made alcoholic drinks. The Mission's participation forms part of its trade, investment, culture and tourism promotion activities.

As part of efforts to further project Ghana's rich culture heritage to attract tourists to the country, the Mission, in collaboration with the Asanteman Association in New South Wales, brought in a delegation of chiefs and courtiers from Sydney to the festival grounds to sit-in-state to showcase a traditional  durbar in session.  The entourage also participated in the festival procession that attracted huge applause from the crowd.
