Welcome to the Consular Department. This section provides general information on the range of consular services that Ghanaian nationals and foreigners alike in the countries of accreditation can access from the High Commission. These services include the issuance of visas and Emergency Travel Certificates, processing of Passports/Dual Nationality applications and authentication of documents.
Ghanaian nationals resident in or visiting Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Island States are required to register online with the High Commission.
The consular section is opened to the general public between 10.00hrs and 14.00hrs from Monday to Friday.

The High Commission is closed to the public on all public holidays in Australia and Ghana.
All travellers to Ghana must be in possession of a valid passport or travelling document establishing their identity.
Citizens of ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States), Kenya, Egypt, Hon Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and holders of German and Cuban Diplomatic service passports are exempted from the requirements of entry visas.
People who enter Ghana ostensibly as visitors are not permitted to take any form of employment (paid or unpaid) or engage themselves in any form of business activities in Ghana.
Persons without any means of financial support, undesirable persons, prohibited immigrants and mentally ill/insane persons may not be granted visas to Ghana.
